great dishes and creative cooking
Love street vendors wish all large cities has some of this quality. Love the education travel information. This is a good show for all the family to watch and those who wish to learn to cook some of those timeless old traditional goodies.

Nice show, interesting recipes
I had to quit watching this series for one reason. Andy Bates' insistence at taking a massive bite of food then talking through and around it while chomping away. It's repulsive. If this doesn't bother you (apparently it doesn't bother much of anyone anymore if my grown coworkers coming to talk at me while masticating means anything) then soldier on because I really do review the show next.

The show's content was good, wander around nicely filmed streets, meet a street cook and learn about a dish or two, then eat and simultaneously talk and chomp, then head back home to cook something inspired by the dish from the street. This was done twice per segment. The dishes from the street and in the kitchen were interesting and you could sometimes cook not just Bates' dishes, but also a dish done in the street section - if the street food cook had prepared a relatively simple dish and cooked it during the segment. It's a nice mix of showing off a city, showing off some interesting...

Interesting to learn about British street food
You get to see different areas of Brittian, the street food that is sold there and then learn how to make it at home. It's great.

Good series, OK learning
I like the series, and I like the way homeowners are taught. It's entertaining and informative. They make such a huge deal about having only 8 hours to complete though - probablkhy for drama's sake. I'd love if they could devote that time and effort to more informative content. That's my only complaint. But still you always end end learning a good thing or two, and get inspired by one thing or another. Very happy to see Amazon including Scripps Network programming.

Good DYI
The program is both entertaining and informative, basic DYI overview in many areas of landscape design knowledge. It is not a how to program....it is more of an entertaining and in my opinion it certainly does that.

A Simple Life

Addictive
I am a self confessed house voyeur and I love love love watching House Hunter's International. Though I'm terrible at guessing what people will pick I love the game.

Great fun, guilty delight
I am not one to watch series in general. Yet, once I discovered streaming House Hunters and House Hunters International, I was hooked. Yes, it is somewhat staged, people having to have already purchased the home in real life, but who cares!? Really, you get to see parts of the country (U.S.) you have not been to and get to see all types of homes! Then you can go overseas, without the headache of air travel, to get a glimpse of life, sights and houses! Highly recommended to the adventurous and good for children to view as well!

Nice glance at Cuenca Real Estate
This was an interesting episode. I applaud this family for making a joint family decision to change their lives and move to beautiful Ecuador. Well done.

Real Food, Real People, Really Good
Love Guys personality; he's real and real funny. I also love that he visits all over America and we love and miss seeing all of the real American restaurants which used to be located all over the US. What makes our country so great is that we as Americans have roots from all over the world and therefore we get to enjoy the cultures and food from all of these different places. America the melting pot of great food and great friends!

Wanna take a road trip!

Awesome sister duo!!
I love this show because it shows the personal and business side of the sisters. I feel that the issues they go through are no different that anyone of any other faith. I fell that the show keep it real and it is good to see someone of Christian faith stepping into reality TV. It is good, clean, fun TV and for all ages.

Good TV Show
While I don't agree totally how they carry themselves as christian women, this TV Show is definitely a great show to sit and watch with the family.

Entertaining
I think I like this show a little better than No Reservations, which I also thoroughly enjoy. I like how this show also interviews people of the countries/cities he visits to give tips to tourists travelling there. It adds a nice perspective aside from Bourdain's constant talking. It's pretty funny as well. I'd watch more seasons when they become available.

Fun and interesting
I find it a fun and interesting show. I enjoy watching Anthony Bourdain and how sarcastic he can be but he is always meeting interesting people and trying interesting things that i would never have been exposed too.otherwise. greet fun to watch.

Fun
The budget for these remodels is on the high side, but it's still fun to get ideas even if they spend more per project than I would.

Fun Ideas for Overpriced Overhauls
The average price tag for overhauling a bath on this program is $20 thousand. A wide variety of styles represented, but some of the decor will become as quickly dated as the outdated baths they are remodeling. The photos which are sent in by viewers of the programs often show just as impressive results for one half to one quarter of the cost. But it's a quick 20-minute wind down which lets you vicariously smash your bath and enjoy someone else's reward. But the hard work is mostly done off-camera by the host's crew of several who are the unsung heroes of the show.

Love it
I liked all the different idea that he had. Things I never even though about before, he brought to life.

Great Show
This is just an endless supply of entertainment. Each couple is quirky and crazy, and the show takes us into their little world of real estate insanity, where invariably they will hunt for the magical list of requirements for house happiness: hardwood floors, granite countertops, dual vanity bathrooms, stainless steel kitchen appliances and an open floor plan in the main living space so they can watch the kids and guests while they cook. What Use Our Work [HD]

The Legacy Of Jack: This BBC Period Piece Explores The Aftermath Of The Ripper's Reign
History's enduring fascination with the gruesome crimes of Jack The Ripper continues unabated with yet another example of popular fiction being inspired by the legendary murderer. Truthfully, I have read enough books, seen enough television, and watched enough movies that cast Jack The Ripper into a central role that I feel like he's an old friend--albeit one I wouldn't want to invite home to dinner. So wearily and warily, I sat down to watch the BBC production of "Ripper Street." I watch a LOT on BBC, perhaps too much! Having recently watched both "Whitechapel" (a Jack tale set in present day) and "Copper" (a historical crime drama), I couldn't help seeing "Ripper Street" as somewhat of a stylistic cross between both of these shows. "Ripper Street" is set in London's East End circa 1889 in the ensuing chaos following the notorious murders. The show centers around a precinct called H Division. Six months after Jack's spree, they are still entrusted to keep the peace within the...

A Blast from the Past and a salute to the future. Top Rate Police Procedural set in the 19th Century
If you liked MI-5 you will love Ripper Street. If you like WhiteChapel you will love Ripper Street. If you like Copper, you will love Ripper Street. Are you getting the message yet. This is the best show to hit the Tele for years. Those who miss Luther, Waking the Dead and all the other shows that seem to just disappear, there is hope. There is Ripper Street!!! Can we hope for more than six episodes a year?

Upped my rating from 4 to 5 after seeing amazon version
Initially, my review spoke of the wonderful main stars. I had thus far only seen the BBC America version of the first 3 episodes. Tho, I liked the show very much, I found it confusing at times. But I knew, of course, that I had seen another "americanized" cutting of a BBC show. Just as with MI5, Whitechapel, and more too numerous to name, the British series is even more amazing than I imagined. Sometimes, I wonder why I bother watching the commercial cuts at all. They are no more than a preview of the real thing. Clearly, this is the whole point. To get one to purchase "something you can see for free" you've got to add more. I expect that. But, this may be the worst cutting I have ever seen BBC America do. It's true: you get what you pay for. Buy it. You'll love it. (first review starts here): Matthew Macfadyen back on episodic tv. Well, that took just way too long. It goes without saying he will make whatever the show that much better just by his presence. But, yay...

A Fair To Remember

Love it!!
Informative, fast-paced (like Dr. Pol) and funny at the same time. If you like animals as much as I do, this show is for you

Love Dr. Pol!
I love these - they don't indulge in adolescent drama to try to capture viewers. The show just presents the normal ups and downs of farm and pet life in both a realistic and engaging manner. Not every animal can be saved, some animals would like to do the vet damage and pulling babies out of the backside of a cow or horse looks like a really really slimy and tough job. Usually things turn out well, the animals are varied and interesting and Dr. Pol's preternaturally energetic, efficient and optimistic attitude makes the show fun to watch. The long suffering Charles, Dr. Pol's son, is always available to provide comic relief with a side story and Dr. Brenda is a great reminder that women have always been working at least as capably as men on farms from the beginning. Great show for anyone interested in animals and/or medicine. Can't wait for more.

Terrific

The King is Crowned [HD]

Seems to scripted and fake.
The show seems extremely fake to me. Only two people in the cast seemed like they might really be nerds. Also there is way to much drama that all seems phoney.

Enjoyable but predictable
This was a fun diversion, although it never crossed over into the transcendent entertainment I was hoping for. This was mostly because the structure of the episodes becomes pretty predictable pretty fast. They basically fall back on the same structural gag every time and, once you figure it out, it gets really obvious who is going to get kicked off the show each week. With all that said, it was still enjoyable and the ending wasn't as predictable as I feared it might be. There's some fun to be had here and it's worth a view if you like nerd culture and don't have anything better to do.

Popular Mechanics For Kids - The Complete Series - 72 Episodes -16 DVD Set (Amazon.com Exclusive)

Popular Mechanics for Kids - and Adults! Great!
First found one of the DVD episodes at our local library. Yes, he (then 3) picked it because it had a fireman on the cover... He loves the content of each disc he's seen and both my husband and I like watching it with him.. pretty informative and funny.. for all of us. (I do insert "please don't try this at home, they're professionals" from time to time for him.)
He is really learning alot from this series.. as am I.

What does he learn? all kinds of things! common sense, scientific thinking, concept of safety, lots of science, don't panic if you get lost/ stay calm, how to look at, get an understanding of what might appear scary from creatures, the ocean, the night, etc.. to the fascinating and fun... space, monster trucks, flying, animal world, pirates, water, robots, etc.

Some of the episodes do mention death (wear a seatbelt, etc.). I wondered if he could handle this.. but it's not overly focused on, just mentioned because it really is part of the...

Your child will be excited about learning new things!
This is by far the best science videos for 10 year olds. My son likes some of the other videos we have, but he loves the fact that these are not cartoons. The information is taught in a way that kids understand. The topics touch on a large variety of things and there is never a dull moment. I just wish they produced more episodes. If all educational videos were like these, kids would be begging to learn more.

Great show and super interesting to my kids
THe series itself is fabulous and my children are learning so much.
However the DVDs skip (the result of poor production from amazon???) which is disappointing.

Richie's Great Race / Bugged Out

He's got the right clothes on, but it's a bit bland
I don't remember ever seeing this series on TV and I was excited to see a Richie Rich cartoon where he was dressed in his Richie clothes and not like the other one where he was older and wore that silly sweater. However, this version appears to be more cheaply made, the scenery doesn't seem fleshed out like the books or other series were. The Rich mansion is tiny in this episode and it just seems to need more background, better sound, more polishing and finishing. It's certainly not bad, the Cadbury robot story is cute as is the Mount Cashalot, but I didn't have any desire to see more episodes after this, nor did my son who likes watching the other Richie cartoon on Boomerang. So, for $2 you can see what you think. It's certainly not bad. Just seems a bit bland and sparse. Needs some Hollywood flare I think.

You'll Love this old favorite!
I enjoyed seeing an old favorite again! this cartoon is good clean fun that everybody will enjoy from finish to end.

Richy Baby
Richie Rich is the world's poor little rich boy. He's the richest kid on Earth, but all he really wants are friends. He spends his days living by a meticulous schedule that involves watching Japan anime and giving 5 star reviews to Playstation products. My daughter loves this series and this one is no different good teen show, she wants to buy all of them

love to watch this with my daughter
This is a cool show that is a part mystery - part semi-soap opera for teens. Great content, great characters - although I wish they had a little more thought thinking when the adults in the series start acting like jerks. The kids just take it and do what their told. Its a little odd in that sense, that none of the kids ever talk back to the adults - especially in situations when they SHOULD. I like the show in general, just think they could do more on the psychological side. My two cents.

Goldie the Fish / Funfair [HD]

Great Episode!!!
The first thing out of my neighbor's daughter's mouth when she visits me at my home is Peppa Pig; She is 24 months old and enjoys each episode or the same episode (over and over). She adores George, mostly because he sounds like a baby when he cries, and because she can pronounce his name as Joe-ch;. Each episode is short enough to keep her entertained and humored, so I purchased this one for her.

We <3 Peppa
My daughter loves Peppa. We also own season 4, which I like better b/c of the Christmas episodes. My only complaint with the Peppa series is that they are really short. Only about 10 min per episode. It's inconvenient when I'm trying to get something done and I have to start a new show on Roku every 10 minutes.

Peppa Pig is pretty cool

Jillian Michaels Hard Body

HARD body
I got this video today and couldn't wait to try it out! Workout 1 is 45 min, Workout 2 is 50 min (including warm-up and cool down). Unlike her previous workouts, there is a single, long circuit repeated twice. The moves are basically the same as her previous dvds, but with some moves combined. There are all new people (no Natalie. boo!). And there is a DJ-- not sure why. Overall, I really like these workouts. I've been waiting for her to come out with another dvd in which the workouts are more that 40 min. I'd say workouts 1 and 2 are similar in intensity, but workout 2 has more complicated moves. Here are the moves included in each workout:

Workout 1:
Warm-up
Speed squats
Push-ups
Jump rope
Superman/sit-up
Lunge-bicep curl with a row
Suicide runs
Scissor crunches
Press/fly/banger in bridge
Calf raise with shoulder press
Leg raise in downward dog
Weighted burpees
Lunge/curl into Warrior 3 with tri kick...

Hmmm....
First, I love Jillian's workouts. I have all of them and was so excited to see this one coming out. But I never would have thought in a million years I'd give a Jillian workout a 3 star rating. But I am. I only worked through workout 1 so far, but...something's just weird about this one. As a workout, it's good. But the production quality is distracting. I don't want to see constant quick shots of the DJ, especially while in the midst of doing reps of something - I need to see the girls that are working out - the DJ doesn't have weights nor is he displaying the form you're to be using. Can't see the modification options or if you're keeping up with the girls or check your form if you're looking at a DJ who's trying to act like he's in a club somewhere. I also don't like the moving camera that looks like it's just held on someone's shoulder and constantly moving. It's like she was shooting a music video instead of a workout video. It's very distracting and hard to focus on...

My Favorite of Them All!
So, I have a vast collection of Jillian Michael's DVD's. About two months ago, I decided to really get serious and do one of her 45 minutes or hour workouts five days a week. I started off with No More Trouble Zones. I liked it but it felt like I got more of a burn when I mixed it up with two 30 Day Shred workouts back to back. I needed more cardio. So, to make a long story short, I ended up buying Extreme Shred and Shed. The first week on that baby was pure torture. I could only get through workout 1 and three circuits of workout 2 for three days. Then I decided to push myself through the entire two works by giving it everything that I had. "Dear Jillian" No one is ever saying that "it's just not hard enough." :-) Anyway. I liked this work out a lot. I felt that it was extremely effective. But you see, I'm burning the last of the last inches of fat off my body. I'm trying to go from a swimsuit body to a bikini body. Jillian calls what I'm trying to lose "vanity pounds" and I guess...

Fun
This show is so much fun. I enjoy the friendly competition and the recipes. This is great family show that I would suggest for anyone.

Bobby Flay is the Best!
I love it! Great Show! Please add more Throwdown with Bobby Flay and more Food Channel shows to Amazon Instant Prime.

We love Bobby Flay!
Good Show and Good quality stream. An entertaining show. It does not really show you exact recipes so if you are looking for more precise directions and recipes, this is not a show for you. It is good, however, for entertainment and for those like myself who are always looking for different tips and ideas to spark creativity and renovate an old recipe.

Rock Star Real Estate

Well done
It is a nicely produced show with a good flow. It is hard to relate to most episodes though. Those people have too much money.

stupid show.
Not entertaining to watch a bunch of rich people whine. Boring show. It tries to be like house hunters, but fails miserably.

Boo! No sales.
This show stinks. Either these brokers can't sell or this show isn't legit. Selling New York is Amazing! I could watch it all day!

Enjoyed Season 2
I have enjoyed Season 2 and will be watching the weekend series as well. Samantha has a bright, cheery and lighthearted look at the places she visits. The shows are about 22 minutes each and that is often enough time to take a quick break to armchair travel places I probably will never see first hand.

Wonderful season
I loved this season as much as I liked the first one. Again I loved the way Samantha's humor and presentation of the historical facts blend to help me decide if I want to visit the places in each episode.

More entertainment than actual travel log
Probably not your best bet if you are actually interested in visiting the places featured. The show focuses less on attractions and more on entertaining items. For example, I have no idea what I should or shouldn't see in Marseilles, except that there is a harbor, but I do know how soap is made and the ingredients of bouillabaisse. On the bright side, Samantha Brown is a little ball of sunshine and makes the shows fun to watch. If you enjoy couch traveling, the show is ideal. If you are a serious European traveler, you're probably better off with Rick Steves. Still entertaining, fun, and eminently watchable.

Another great Bobby Flay show!
Bobby Flay is one of my favorite food personalities. He's fun to watch and has a good balance of expertise and humility.

What can I say - Bobby Flay in a Throwdown Challenge?
Very entertaining. Bobby Flay is so enjoyable. I had the pleasure of meeting him at one of his restaurants in Las Vegas. Very down to earth and knows how to have fun and treats everyone around him with respect. Way to go Bobby!

School of Hard Knocks [HD]

So Fun...
...to watch. Love those travellers...stay strong and true to your heritage (PS...it wouldn't hurt to get everyone registered to vote and elect a traveller to Parliament).

Awesome
Utterly fascinating glimpse into a strange other world. The gowns and the diamonds are fun to see but the really interesting part is the gypsy culture.

Oddly fascinating yet absolutely infuriating...
This documentary by no means really reflects on the lives of true Roma Gypsies, but rather 'Irish Travellers', a distinct sort of gypsy that despite this documentary, is not a representative of the entire Gypsy culture.

As you can tell by the title, this documentary focuses a lot on weddings, though you also get frequent glimpses into other aspects of these people. It is intensely patriarchal - spousal abuse is more rife, and girls are made to drop out of school young (in their early to mid teens, often) to stay home and take care of the house and younger siblings. Yet they never say what happens with the mothers, where are the mothers while their elder daughters take care of the rest of the kids?

Wives are not allowed to work, since it is seen as shameful for a husband to have a wife with a job because it supposedly signifies that he cannot support his family. Ahh, male chauvinism and cowardice at its finest! So obviously, the mothers are not out working, which...

love this show
I have been following the team since their show came on the air. They put some theatrics into the show which makes it really enjoyable. The comedy they add keeps the show interesting. Not everyone believes in the paranormal but this show can still be enjoyable to the non-believer. I just hope Amazon will keep it on their streaming site.

need all seasons even new ones
This is the only place I can stream Ghost Adventurers, so get all seasons soon please. Love the show, big fan.

Fun
Always fun to watch, just wish they talked to the locals less and investigated more. It's rarely boring. I watch them at least twice.

Interesting and educational
Great image quality on the streaming and a very interesting show. Yes, some of the things he eats make you a little sick, but it is the understanding of the culture that makes those meals and the people with them that makes it worth it.

Bizzare Foods addict
Andrew Zimmern is an awesome TV host that takes his viewers across the world to sample different cuisines. I'm upset that the new seasons (Bizarre Foods America) is not available on Prime accounts.

Great show
Fantastic showcase of different cultures and the food they eat. I have learned quite a bit about food that was once esoteric.

Half of Season 4 Deceptive Salesmanship Again
Here we go again , another deceptive sale of a series. This is not what the title says it is . this is not season 4 BUT Half of season 4 . My suggestion is to never buy any series untill all seasons have been produced on DVD's. They will hold out forever like the Ironside series. It' is my fault for falling into the salesmans TRAP , and read every last detail and do more research before a purchase !

A Skeptical Believer
I've been a fan of paranormal investigative shows for a while and remember when these guys first started appearing on TV. They have come a long way. Cheers to Zak, Nick, and Aaron!

Alright, I'm a skeptical believer of ghosts, but these guys can capture some evidence that just seems a bit too far stretched to merely be coincidental. I realize that practically anything caught could be fixed and rigged and all staged. However, I do believe these guys aren't into this field of investigation for the fame. Like other crews out there doing the same things, this is an interest of theirs that they've been doing a while before being on TV and if their shows are canceled they will still be doing the same thing - seeking irrefutable evidence of the paranormal.

It's a fact that we humans do NOT know everything about this world, about where we came from, nor about what happens after we are gone. One thing it all has in common is energy source. We came from energy. We...

excellent show!
Just a very good show. I love the interesting things they do to fix up a home. I wish there were more series than two.

great show for DIY addicts
Great host gets her hands dirty helping instruct and advise home owners on their dream renovations. I love seeing the many different couples deal with the challenges and unexpected costs of DIY remodels.

Hope amazon gets the other seasons soon.
